James has an extensive background in dog behavior and training with his current focus on agility. He is sought out for his expertise in shaping and learning aspects of the sport and his ability to help his students apply that to their training. He began in the rescue world before pursuing certification in dog training and behavior consulting. One Smart Dog is fortunate to have him instructing a number of our competition agility classes and heading up our Puppy: Sports program. 

He currently competes with his border collies and if you find him at a trial we’d encourage you to say hello!
